The Emerald House

( description )

The transformation of a house into a home is only achieved through human presence. A home is more than a physical space—it is a sanctuary, a reflection of identity, and a place of comfort. However, turning a space into a functional and cohesive environment requires thoughtful design. This 100m² apartment, housed in a 1970s building in Agia Paraskevi, underwent a complete renovation to enhance both its aesthetics and functionality.

A key design element of the apartment is the bold use of color. A dominant shade of green begins in the kitchen, extends through the corridor, and continues into the bedroom, creating a visual flow that unifies the space. This seamless integration of color adds character and warmth while reinforcing the apartment’s cohesive identity.
The renovation process prioritized functionality, ensuring that every square meter was optimized. Storage solutions were carefully incorporated, while materials and finishes were selected to enhance durability and ease of use. The design respects the apartment’s original layout while introducing contemporary elements to improve livability.
