Synergy urban Public square design

( description )

The harmonic coexistence of water, greenery, and the urban landscape defines our proposal for the redevelopment of Plateia Eleftherias. Designed in collaboration with Victoria Lytra, the concept envisions an open, green public square that not only links its adjacent areas—currently under strain—but also acts as a catalyst for the transformation of the entire region into a vibrant, living organism.

A dense, linear arrangement of water, planting, and urban space creates a dynamic and accessible mosaic of activities. This structured yet fluid layout invites movement and interaction, fostering a sense of connection between the natural and built environments.
Beyond its environmental impact, the proposal aims to enhance urban life by encouraging social engagement. The square is designed to accommodate both large-scale public events and intimate personal experiences, allowing for a variety of social interactions to unfold naturally within the space.
