Offices in Panepistimiou An office combo in a historical road in Athens

( description )

Located in the heart of Athens, overlooking Panepistimiou Street, our office was tasked with redesigning a 120 sq.m. floor to create a unified, sophisticated business space. The building stands amidst some of the city’s most historically significant structures, including the Athens University, the National Library of Greece, and the Academy of Athens. Surrounded by these landmarks, our design honors the rich history of the area while providing a modern, refined space for the clients.

Our design was influenced by mid-century modern principles, aiming to create a space that felt both luxurious and exclusive. To maximize natural light, we incorporated glass dividers between rooms and used glass tiles wherever possible, allowing light to filter through and illuminate the entire space. This design approach provides an airy, open feel while maintaining the privacy of individual areas.
The floor in the lobby, made from white marble fragments, adds a nostalgic touch reminiscent of the 1950s “retro” style, while subtly introducing the aesthetic into the modern space. Gold-toned wood and curved green marble details add elegance and depth to the interiors, infusing the office with a sense of luxury and sophistication. These materials were chosen to reflect the timeless appeal of mid-century modern design, blending seamlessly with the contemporary architecture of the building.
