Fillis House-Luxury Apartments

( description )
Nestled in the idyllic village of Vourvourou, at the heart of Sithonia in Halkidiki, Fillis House offers an intimate boutique hospitality experience through two luxurious villas. Surrounded by dramatic natural beauty and crystal-clear beaches, the property captures the essence of the region while reimagining traditional architectural elements with a contemporary sensibility. The design pays tribute to the enduring character of Halkidiki, where stone-built structures, red-tiled roofs, and timbered ceilings form the vernacular language. These elements are reinterpreted with a refined material palette and understated detailing, creating an atmosphere of serenity and elegance. The result is a place of quiet luxury, where guests can immerse themselves in the landscape while enjoying the comforts of modern living.

The initial design intention was to eliminate the use of movable furniture, thereby reinforcing a sense of spatial cohesion and permanence. All primary functional elements—such as the bed, nightstands, and sofa—were conceived as integral components of the architecture itself. These elements were sculpted in place using decorative cement, emphasizing the continuity of materiality and form while blurring the boundaries between structure and furnishing.
