Offices in Panepistimiou An office combo in a historical road in Athens

Our office was commissioned to design a business headquarters located on a 200 sq.m. floor of a building overlooking Panepistimiou Street in the heart of Athens. The clients acquired the entire floor with the intention of unifying it into a cohesive, high-functioning workspace. The building is situated at the epicenter of the city, surrounded by architectural landmarks of major historical significance, including the University of Athens (which gives the street its name), the National Library of Greece and the Academy of Athens. Up until the 1950s, Panepistimiou was lined with exceptional neoclassical buildings – many of which, unfortunately, were later demolished. Our design proposal was inspired by mid-century modern aesthetics, aiming to create a sophisticated and refined interior with an air of luxury and exclusivity. We maximized the natural light flooding the space by incorporating glass partitions and glass tiles wherever possible, allowing light to flow freely while maintaining functional separations.
